Joel Schiffman is an American entrepreneur and investor with a net worth estimated at $1.5 billion. He is the co-founder and former CEO of JetBlue Airways, a low-cost airline based in New York City.
Schiffman was born in New York City in 1960. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. After working as a consultant for Bain & Company, he co-founded JetBlue in 1999. JetBlue has since become one of the largest low-cost airlines in the United States.
